Missions
New Hope Church has been a mission minded church since the beginning in 1970 as a mission church. We have a mission committee that meets monthly, sponsors mission teams and keeps the congregation aware of challenges and opportunities to share Christian love and serve in short term mission trips.

Lake Lundgren Bible Camp
–Troy, Megan, Elena and Caleb Meissner
Troy’s work at Lake Lundgren Bible Camp involves developing the food menus for camp and overseeing as well as being actively involved in the preparation of all meals for up to 240 hungry campers. Camp sessions are not only throughout the summer, but also during the fall, winter and spring. When not working directly or indirectly with food, Troy lends his hand to whatever project around camp needs help.
Wycliffe Bible Translators
The Bible reveals a picture of heaven with people from all nations and languages present. The translated Word will help to make this possible. Yet about 200 million people do not have the Bible in their own language. Wycliffe’s vision is to see the Bible accessible to all people in the language they understand best, so they can have the opportunity to have an intimate and life changing relationship with Jesus Christ. In 1999, translation projects started at a pace of about one every 18 days. At that rate it would have taken until 2150 before the last translation project was even begun. Wycliffe leaders challenged the Body of Christ to accelerate the pace and Vision 2025 was born. The goal is by the year 2025 to see a Bible translation program in progress in every language still needing a translation. Since the adoption of Vision 2025, new language programs have started at an unprecedented rate and today a translation program is started about every five days.
We support the work of Bible translation through the ministry of Daryl (Dunc) and Mary Pfantz. The Pfantz family has served Bible translation for 20 years in Papua New Guinea, and completed a translation of the New Testament into the Kuman language in June 2008. Currently, the Pfantz’s are on a short furlough in Green Bay, and will be starting a new stateside assignment in February 2009. They will continue to be involved in Bible translation work, which God has given them such a passion for.
