What’s New!
Books and Chocolate (Women’s Book Club) members are reading Finally Alive, by John Piper, during the month of October. We will meet for discussion on Monday, November 2, at 6:45 p.m. at New Hope.
Our Christmas read for 2009 is The Christ of Christmas by James Montgomery Boice. We will read this book during November for our discussion on Monday, December 7, at 6:45 p.m.
New Hope Library’s 30th Birthday Party will be held on Sunday, November 15, at 11:15 a.m.

Card Catalog
New Hope Library’s card catalog is now available on computer. When the library is staffed on Sundays, you may use the computer in the Library Annex for your book and film searches. The card catalog computer is located on a shelf in the southeast corner of the annex. The search menu will be open for those wanting to use the card catalog. Please see one of the library volunteers if you have any questions.

Library Purpose
- To encourage spiritual development among patrons by providing materials which are challenging and uplifting.
- To serve the entire church: adults, children, and staff.
- To supplement the teaching ministry through materials for independent study.
- To provide an efficient circulation system for resources.
New Hope Library contains more than 8,000 books, 500 videocassettes/DVDs, and 400 audio cassettes/compact discs, which can be borrowed by anyone attending New Hope. Volunteers staff the library on Sunday mornings. Self-service check out is used during the week. Books are checked out for four weeks (children’s books for two weeks), videocassettes/DVDs for one week, and audio cassettes or compact discs for two weeks.
The New Hope Library Committee provides direction for the library, approves the yearly budget, sponsors reading programs, and recruits volunteers. The volunteer staff purchases and processes media, along with operating the library during Sunday morning hours. The March Reading Program (for all New Hope attendees) and the Summer Reading Program (K-12th grade) involve many of our church families each year and promote reading for all ages.
