Jesus, Whose Gospel, the forgiveness of sins and making men righteous His way, met the mis-responses of men, responded by withdrawing from those against Him, granting mercy to those open to His message, and granting true knowledge of Himself only to some. But He also called some to be His followers with 4 specific, continuing purposes.
